CARIBBEAN WRITERS

Tindal Street Press asked us to make a film about the Trinidadian author LAWRENCE SCOTT discussing his brilliant novel, Light Falling on Bamboo, which is centred around the life of Michel Jean Cazabon, Trinidad's most famous 19th century artist.

Then we made a short impressionistic portrait of another Trinidadian writer, the visionary poet VAHNI CAPILDEO (winner of the 2016 Forward Prize for poetry) featuring some of her characteristically unconventional thoughts as well as readings from her book Dark and Unaccustomed Words published by Eggbox.

The Bocas literary festival commissioned us to do a short portrait of Jamaican writer, KEI MILLER, whose novel Augustown won the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Literature, the most prestigious international award for Caribbean writing.

And, more recently, we met up with Lawrence Scott again to hear about his new book Dangerous Freedom.

Watch them below.
