AFTER MAS WINS AN AWARD! After playing to packed audiences at the Trinidad + Tobago Film Festival, I was delighted that After Mas picked up an award at its very first festival: Best Local Short 2013. Thanks to all the brilliant cast & crew!

Meanwhile, the
"RBC Focus: Filmmakers Immersion" was an inspiring experience. My movie project "Blanchicheuse" has evolved into a fully formed feature-length treatment that pleasingly seemed to have many listeners gripped! Made a lot of new great contacts, several of whom have asked to read a full script. So, on with the next stage of writing…

I have received a new award from the Trinidad & Tobago Film Company – a grant to make my poetic documentary 'essay'
Dreams In Transit. Featuring poetry from Vahni Caplideo and an onscreen presence from actress Martina Laird that blurs the boundary between reality and fiction, Dreams… will explore the meaning of "home". Need to find just a bit of extra finance now…

Just heard I have been selected for the Trinidad + Tobago Film Festival "RBC Focus: Filmmakers Immersion" week led by award-winning Argentinian producer/director Julia Solomonoff. They've invited 10 filmmakers from around the Caribbean to hone their feature film projects and then will award a cash prize to the winning pitch! I'll let you know how it goes…
